File Manager for the account side is live — upload, download, rename, delete, new folders, scoped to your own account’s files.
The part that matters more than the feature
Path traversal is the classic way a File Manager feature goes wrong, so before calling this done it was tested on purpose with hostile input: traversal-style requests, links pointing outside the account’s directory, and filenames crafted to smuggle a path into a simple rename. All were rejected, verified against real payloads on a development server rather than only asserted in a test file.
That testing also turned up a configuration issue: a development setting left over from early setup caused an error page to show more detail than a public-facing server should. It was found in our own testing and fixed immediately, and the project’s default configuration was changed so a fresh install doesn’t inherit it.
The lesson is plain: testing with hostile input, not just the happy path, is worth the time it takes.
